Almost four years later, on July 15, 2005, the New World Trade Center re-opened quietly with very little fanfare.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    This is because the United States was under an alert. Newspapers&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    cooperated by announcing the opening on a Saturday and all the major news&lt;br /&gt;    placed news deep within as on page 37 with the New York Times. Playing down&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    the opening spared New York great expense since security could also be toned&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    down. Trouble was no doubt averted. The ribbon-cutting ceremony went off&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    without a hitch. There were no protesters, few cameramen even received advance&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    notice.
